Gazprom pins drop in gas supply volumes on customers’ demand

MOSCOW, Oct 1 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Gazprom pumps natural gas through the Yamal–Europe pipeline depending on consumers’ demand and requests, the company said on Friday, when pumping fell by 75% compared with Thursday according to German gas transit operator Gascade.

“Gazprom supplies gas basing on the customers’ requests in accordance with existing contractual obligations. Based on these requests, as well as on the possibility to optimize the capacity portfolio, the company books transit capacity on individual destinations,” the company said.
